Business Video: A Key Enabler for Business Transformation
According to a recent study, video will account for nearly 90 percent of all consumer Internet traffic by 2013, and 60 percent of all online video will be consumer video—up from 32 percent in 2009.
All forms of communications, collaboration, and entertainment are becoming digitized, and connected. New, rich media applications, such as video collaboration, IPTV, music and video streaming, are flourishing. So too is a new generation of devices—from multi-function mobile phones to access control points; card readers to Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags. A multitude of video formats; devices and information sources are being integrated into innovative applications that are changing the way people interact.
Nexus Wins Five Cisco U.S. and Canada Partner Awards at 2010 Cisco Partner Summit
In early May, Nexus announced that it was the recipient of five Cisco Partner Summit awards for the following:
- U.S. and Canada Technology Excellence Partner of the Year
- National Commercial Partner of the Year
- National Services Partner of the Year
- West Cisco Commercial Partner of the Year
- West Cisco Capital Partner of the Year
Cisco unveiled the winners April 27th at its annual channel partner conference in San Francisco.

Nexus Solidly Positioned To Continue Its Success in the Business Video Market
Earlier this month, Nexus announced that it is ready to hit the market with combined Cisco and TANDBERG Solutions.
Nexus was the first Advanced Technology Partner (ATP) in the United States to deploy Cisco TelePresence Systems (CTS) for production use internally. Today, Nexus is the first Cisco partner to “interoperate” its legacy video endpoints as it expands its portfolio over time.
Nexus is working towards achieving Platinum Certification with TANDBERG and anticipates attaining it by June 30th, 2010.

Nexus Ranked Among North America’s Top 500 Technology Integrators by Everything Channel
In mid-May, Nexus announced that it had been recognized by Everything Channel as one of North America’s top technology integrators. Named to the prestigious VAR 500 list, Nexus placed number 194 in the 16th annual ranking; an improvement from last year’s ranking of number 226.
The 16th annual ranking VAR 500 list details the leading producers among technology integrators and technology solution provider organizations in North America based on gross worldwide revenue of hardware and software sales, as well as earnings from professional and managed IT services. This year’s list reflects the strength of the technology reseller channel as the ranking includes 182 new companies with four percent of the new entrants landing in the Top 100.

Multistate Healthcare Organization Enhances Collaboration
Challenge
Molina Healthcare, Inc. is a multistate managed care organization that arranges for the delivery of healthcare services to people eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, and other government-sponsored programs for people with low income. The organization currently serves 1.4 million members through health plan subsidiaries in nine states, and processes approximately 11 million claims annually. In addition to administering health plans, Molina Healthcare also operates 17 clinics in California and three in Virginia.
Like other managed care providers, Molina Healthcare seeks innovative approaches to make the most of limited government funding. “We are looking to technology to reduce administrative costs as well direct care delivery costs,” says Terry Bayer, chief operating officer, Molina Healthcare. “Collaboration plays an important role in both strategies.”
