Becoming a High Performance Employer During Tough Economic Times
In today’s market, staying competitive in the industry is a task fraught with challenges. Faced with constrictive budgets and reduced human capital, employers are looking for ways to increase productivity, lower expenses, and improve employee morale - a feat that may seem gargantuan. However, with today’s technological collaborative solutions, such as Cisco TelePresense and Cisco WebEx, organizations can provide strategic approaches to overcome these challenges.
For employers who have multiple locations, especially those that span different geographic regions, delivering employee orientation that communicates an effective and powerful message can be challenging. Even more challenging is the expectation of accomplishing it at a lower cost is quite a task. Collaborative solutions such as WebEx, an application that delivers on-line virtual meetings including video, has enabled employers to solve these challenges. By being able to collaborate online with many people across several geographies and “see” them virtually, organizations are able to reduce travel costs and improve employee productivity.
Nexus Announces Launch of Healthcare Practice
Earlier this month, Nexus announced the launch of a focused Healthcare Practice. Healthcare is one of the fastest growing industries today and currently generates a large percentage of Nexus’ revenue.
Nexus has been working with large Healthcare clients for several years. This experience, along with the development of an industry specific practice, will allow Nexus the opportunity to go after this vertical market with greater purpose and focus.

Earlier this summer, Nexus was the recipient of multiple Cisco Partner Summit awards, including Global-National Technology Excellence Partner of the Year, West Commercial Partner of the Year and West Cisco Capital Partner of the Year.
Nexus and EMC Join Forces to Put Together Del Mar Day at the Races
In August, over 300 attendees joined Nexus, EMC and other sponsors to find out about the latest industry developments in Information Technology while enjoying the beauty and excitement of the famed Del Mar Race Track! Attendees were given preferred seating in Del Mar’s Seaside Tropical Cabana, located trackside at the top of the stretch run.

Nexus Moves into Its New Orange County Office
Nexus is pleased to announce that it has completed its move to its new office in Irvine, CA. Demonstrating the value of EMC’s information infrastructure with VMware’s virtual data center operating system, and Cisco’s Unified Switched Fabric - Nexus has established a Solution Center at the Irvine office to demonstrate joint VMware, Cisco, and EMC solutions. Solutions have been stringently tested and provide seamless integration between each of the components, and Nexus can show you how to enhance your current infrastructure and create a plan for YOUR Data Center 3.0 deployment. State Agency Expands Reach with Help from Nexus
Mojave Water Agency works with Nexus to integrate efficient, scalable online meetings into its network infrastructure.
Challenge
The Mojave Water Agency (MWA) is responsible for managing the water resources of nearly 4900 square miles of high desert in California’s San Bernardino County. One of 29 state water contractors, MWA works with government agencies, as well as water retailers and other private businesses, to ensure a sustainable water supply for approximately two million residents living in more than two dozen cities and towns.
As the region’s largest water management organization, MWA dispatches teams to monitor projects in the field, and also coordinates planning sessions and public meetings that require participation from people located across the area. “We cover a large area of the Mojave Desert,” says Jesse Shelby, information systems manager at MWA. “We have to work closely with many different constituents, including members of the public and staff at other organizations, who are spread out all over our jurisdiction.”
