Save Green, Go Green
Save Money by Reducing Travel

aIn March 2008, Nexus deployed the Cisco TelePresence System (CTS) in four regional offices. The goal of this deployment was to increase the amount of “in person” meetings without incurring the expense and productivity loss associated with corporate travel. The results have been significant: an increase in productivity and pipeline revenue with no additional travel expense.

Nexus Collaborates with School District to Provide Grade-A Solution
East Whittier City School District has approximately 1,100 employees and thirteen K-8 schools in Whittier, California. East Whittier City School District is committed to providing its students, personnel, and the community it serves the best schools possible. Unfortunately, an antiquated communication network was prohibiting the District from accomplishing its objectives.

“Our communication platform was composed of several voice, data, and wireless systems of varying age that were growing increasingly unreliable,” says David Feliciano, Director, Information Services & Technology, East Whittier City School District. “We had difficulty maintaining uptime and our students and teachers were unable to access critical network resources. When in early 2007 our Voicemail system failed and a temporary fix cost $18,000, it was time for a change.”

What is Virtualization?
Data center virtualization is the basis for the transformation of the data center into a service-oriented infrastructure and a key enabler for automation and lights-out operations.

By virtualizing data center infrastructure and decoupling applications and data from the physical resources they run on, IT can deliver and maintain data center services more efficiently, resiliently, and dynamically.

The network plays a central role in enabling data center virtualization across server, storage and network domains, and is central to the architecture roadmap.

Our People Make the Difference
We’re proud of our relationships with our valued clients. Below is feedback we recently received.

" I just wanted to take a few moments and thank you for your team’s efforts to correct the issues relating to the server problems we experienced post upgrade of our systems.

The dedication to resolving the issue by Nexus was obvious through the weekly status updates, late night troubleshooting to minimize downtime, and by assigning a dedicated technical contact. The resolution approach instilled confidence in our organization that the right team was assembled and the issues would be resolved.

I look forward to the continued relationship between our company and Nexus. Your commitment to your customers is a rarity, please don’t lose it."
